The Data Structures Converter processes a complete Siemens project export created with the ConvertAutomation TIA XML Exporter. It rebuilds the project data structure—including Tag Tables, PLC Data Types, UDTs, and global DBs—as Rockwell Data Types and Controller Tags, delivered in importable L5X files.
Yes. Both converters require files exported from Siemens TIA Portal in XML format. For a single PLC logic block, you may use any compatible XML export tool. For data-structure conversion, the complete ZIP must be created with the ConvertAutomation TIA XML Exporter.
No. These tools are designed to assist qualified automation professionals, not replace their expertise or engineering judgment. They simplify repetitive conversion work and help reduce manual transcription errors. Every generated result must still be reviewed, tested, validated, and approved by a qualified PLC programmer before use.
